SSDTC is in the process of applying for a lottery grant to convert the
Methodist Chapel in nearby Clayton West in to a small theatre and community
facility. The initial request for funding to carry out a professional
feasibility study to assess the viability of the scheme was successful.
The study was completed in 2004 and has been submitted to the lottery
authorities for consideration.
April 2005
A successful production of the pantomime 'Cinderella' was well received
by the audiences over the five nights of the show.
February 2006
Lionel Bart's Oliver! attracted a large and appreciative local audience to Scissett Middle School.
The show demanded a great deal of commitment from both cast and production teams but everyone rose
to the challenge for this popular show. Thanks to all who supported the production.

The pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs provided an opportunity for the kids to shine.
Congratulations to all who took part and to those who provided stewardship and control. You know who you are!...

Hot on the heels of the pantomime the Society presented The Wizard of Oz. Another show demanding a large cast of
'young uns'. Various set design challenges were met and overcome in the production of this colourful show.
